Christmas, 1860's. British toymakers Caleb and Bertha Plummer (father and daughter) head toward a bright future when Bertha accepts British sailor Edward's marriage proposal. Over the following year, Edward is lost at sea, Bertha is blinded by illness, and their jobs at the toyshop fall into jeopardy. With the support of strong friendships and an unwavering faith in love, they find healing through reconnection and reunion.
